Export for 3D printing
In addition to the new 3D viewer, Geoportal offers an improved version of its export tool dedicated to 3D printing, accessible via 3dprint.geoportal.lu. This innovative tool allows users to generate files suitable for 3D printing from the official 3D model data. Users can thus create physical models, opening the way for educational, professional or simply recreational applications.
Since its launch in 2022, data from the official 3D model can be exported by experts using various tools.
This tool is specifically designed for exporting data for 3D printing. It has recently been improved to better meet user needs. It now offers the possibility to choose the scale, export grids of 4 or 9 attachable pieces, and configure numerous advanced settings, which are explained in detail in two tutorials available on the Geoportal YouTube channel: youtube.com/@geoportaillux
